- All 33 traits Morphpedia lists for gargoyle geckos are polygenic. Not most of them — every one. There is no proven recessive, dominant or incomplete dominant gene in this species.
- Polygenic means several genes acting together, with expression that shifts as the animal grows and is influenced by more than genotype alone. It's why two striking parents can throw a clutch that looks like neither of them, and why a reticulated gecko doesn't reliably make reticulated babies.
- That isn't a gap in the research so much as how this species works. Any tool quoting you a percentage for a gargoyle pairing is inventing it.
